Doji - Technical Indicator, Fortune Teller, Or Art?

I should have added Classic Rock to the headline. It's all the above and more, yet just 2 lines in the sand. When the next tide comes in, it will be washed away, leaving a clean slate for the next trade. I write often about Candelsticks and Chart Patterns, but if you scan the archives you'll see that my relationship with the Doji runs long and deep. When the woman accused of adultery was brought before Jesus to be judged, he knelt and wrote in the sand. Scripture does not reveal what he wrote, but many theories exist. Don't get too serious on me.

I've said it before and it still holds true, you could build a trading career on 2 lines in the sand. This Doji tonight fell into a special category where multiple roads intersect, but that's often the case. Isn't it?

Emini Trades Via Twitter - 2012 Our Year In Review

Twitter has not enabled our account as of yet to download our Tweet history with one simple click as promised in a recent press release. There are some third party apps but I thought since they were Tweets, maybe I should just "hunt and peck". Once our account is enabled by Jack, I will make the entire file available for download.

In the meantime, I am beginning tonight with June 27th and working my up to the end of the year. If I miss one, please let me know. This is publicly available information so please feel free to check and double check the results. I peeked at a few of these as I dug them out, turns out... there were a few worth trading. I may start following myself.

Live Trading Room Results Today $400+ Per Contract

First Trading Day Of 2013 Exceeds Expectations For Emini Traders

The first trading day of 2013 the S&P500 Emini gapped open 19.25 points. Price spent the first 9 hours oscillating in a tight range around the 1446/1447 Weekly Trading Zone and then surged 10.75 points higher in afternoon trading to 1458 in less than an hour. The question now, will Asia and Europe continue the Wall Street rally, or use the opportunity to take profits?

Today's Live Trading Room Video Recap - 

Our first trade out of the gate this morning was stopped out for a controlled loss. However, before the Live Trading Room closed at 11:30AM EST, we were positive on the day. This is a huge lesson in itself. Once you have a definable edge in the market, you must then develop the confidence to apply the edge every time the opportunity presents itself. This is more difficult than it sounds.
