We often hear our trading style is too abrupt, lacking in elegance, more like a Pirate's Smash & Grab. Our standard answer is "Increase the time frame" or, "Learn to appreciate the power of 2 points." Here's the rub, many people are convinced that making 20 points on 1 contract is superior to earning 1 point on 20 contracts.

Keep in mind... the payout is identical.

20 points X 1 contract X $50 per contract = $1,000.00

1 point X 20 contracts X $50 per contract = $1,000.00

Gangnam is the most coveted address in Korea, but less than two generations ago it was little more than some forlorn homes surrounded by flat farmland and drainage ditches. The district of Gangnam, which literally means “south of the river,” is about half the size of Manhattan. About 1 percent of Seoul’s population lives there, but many of its residents are very rich. The average Gangnam apartment costs about $716,000, a sum that would take an average South Korean household 18 years to earn.

Now what does this have to do with Emini Futures Trading? The 1% of Seoul are often looked at distastefully by other Koreans who equate success with working long hard hours. We also believe in hard work here at CFRN. We also realize that as Emini Futures Traders, we are in a unique position to earn in a day what many Americans earn in a month, and what many from other countries might only earn in a year.

What's amazing, this new trader who will on average lose that much money on his first day by doing the very thing even the cab driver told him not to do, is the same guy who was reluctant to invest in an education and was uber-obsessed with shaving $1.00 off his round turn commissions with a $3k account. So what if the trade desk is in India and the broker himself has never placed a trade before, "I'm saving a buck per round turn!" "I got this thing wired."

We knew ahead of time the election results would move the markets. No matter which candidate prevailed, the incumbent or the challenger, when you choose the leader of the worlds economic super-power, things are going to shake, rattle and roll.

Given that, what's the chance they will do it in an orderly fashion? Our Weekly Trading Zones are sent to the CFRN Partners before the market opens every Monday morning. Did we make a special allowance this week for the election? Did we factor in last week the potential for the biggest storm in our nation's history? The answer is no.

Math is neutral. Rain or shine, Democrat or Republican, the numbers are the numbers. Nothing more, nothing less - numbers. The Zones sent to our Partners last week and this week were completly agnostic to external influences. This is how we turn chaos into divine order. This is how we, in our own humble way, show you week after week, after week, that our walk is not random.
