In the mysterious case of the falling market, have we found a real (temp) bottom or is this merely a cloak and dagger valise complete with a very fine false bottom that opens up over a global economy in tatters? The final hour today was quite the accomplishment to the upside. Enough so that our breakdown which we have been in since last Wednesday at 1154.00 is now a break up above 1117.00
The next few days will tell the tale...

1st swing down was good for 13 points.
2nd swing down - 20 points
3rd swing down - 34.5 points

We have a fresh elbow extension break on the hourly ES chart to the south side.
The previous break to the upside was on September 26th @ 1141.50. Price ran to 1190.00 on the 27th.
The previous break to the downside was on September 21st @ 1194.00. Price dropped to 1102.00.
I said all that to say this again -
We have a fresh elbow extension break to the downside @ 1154.00.

September 26, 2011 at 6:00 PM Michael was out today but he will create a recap for us later. The early going was a bit of a head scratcher with the back and forth action. We ended up taking only 2 trades this morning in the Live Trading Room.
We bought the YM @ 10,735 @ 7:31:34 PDT and exited with a 20 point profit @ 10,755 @ 7:32:55 PDT
The second trade was far more exhilarating. The students called this one and I traded it blind based on what they have learned and without the benefit of a chart in front of me. They nailed it cold!
