October 24, 2011 at 4:30 PM If the markets are a true barometer of global economic health as many profess, how do you explain away the current mess? The only good news we've had of late is the fall of a dictator yet the Dow is on track for the largest single one month point gain in history. Seriously? Bigger than any month in the days of the dot com bubble? Yep. It doesn't take a psychic or a scientist to see that something is horribly flawed with this picture. We all know bubbles don't last. At least I hope we all know that... right?

October 19, 2011 at 4:02 PM The overnight rally in the S&P 500 Emini Futures put in yet another lower high on the hourly chart. Remember, we have been turned away from our Weekly Trading Zone @ 1230 twice now. A good portion of today's action was contained Between the Zones. As the afternoon session got underway we finally broke below the 1211/1212 WTZ when the Beige Book was released. The market recovered at the 1201/1202 WTZ, turned north and ran right back to the 1211/1212 WTZ. That's what we call Zone to Zone to Zone. In this case it was 9 points down and 9 back up. That's a round trip ticket worth 18 points. Am I suggesting you should have taken 18 points out of the market? Not at all. What I am suggesting is that price made 2 substantial moves from fixed points of support and resistance that were given to our Partner's before the opening bell on Monday.
Now that I've suggested that, I will say this -
October 18, 2011 at 9:19 PM European Bailout news rocked the markets higher this afternoon. However, the exuberance which blew up the hourly chart for exactly ONE hour, seems to have subsided on the Globex session. At the height of the announcement rally we failed to take out the high put in early Monday morning when London opened. There will be a Tweet immediately following this post looking for a decline into tomorrow.
October 17, 2011 at 5:52 PM Greetings from AriZONEa. If you didn't catch the humor there you're either brand new to CFRN or I've wasted a whole lot of time posting these things. We'll get to that in a moment.
Today's broadcast was dedicated to my Uncle Ray. A special, unique, one of a kind guy. He loved computers, he was a preeminent Southern Gospel recording artist, and my mom's best friend. Whatever he did, from writing code, to making music, or baking brownies... he did it with great passion. When we launched CFRN he wrote the XML file to launch our very first podcast which ultimately got us into the iTunes store. I love you Uncle Ray. I wish I had called you more often.

One quick thing - We did talk last night and today about those Magnificent Men and their Weekly Zones. We showed the top at 1216. What happens once price reaches a zone? Price will find another Zone. Trading's not easy but it can be simple.

However, the good news is... you get so much more. But forget all the other stuff for a minute. Forget the indicators that do the heavy mathematical lifting. Toss out the methodology that gives you exact entries and exits "to the tick" on every single trade. Let's not concern ourselves with the 6 years of blood, sweat and tears or the tens upon tens of thousands of dollars spent stumbling down dead end alleys and reloading acccounts. Tonight let's focus on just this one simple thing -
October 11, 2011 at 9:35 PM The market has been fixated with our Weekly Trading Zone 1187/1188 for 2 days now. Resistance, then support, the dance continues around the center of gravity. We spent most of the day session in a slightly downward sloping channel with the Zone as support until Alcoa reported after the bell and we got a gap lower open on Globex. It didn't last long. As I type we are right back to 1187/1188. To clear the top of the channel will require 1192. Without that the Zone below comes into play. You are invited to join us tomorrow in the Live Trading Room and find out exactly where the Zone above and the Zone below are. There are few certainties in the trading world but I assure you that price will indeed gravitate to one or the other. Once the journey is underway the profit potential is quite handsome whichever way it rolls.
