E-Mini S&P 500: Don’t stand in front of the Bull!
The E-Mini S&P 500 broke out of the previous range! The bulls came out in force to accelerate the move up as Crude Oil seemed to get a little toppy. The EIA Report today showed a build in the inventories of 2.9 million barrels. MSCI’s all-country stock was up 1.4%. The global marketplace seemed to be in an uptrend as many global energy stocks rose such as Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. and Chesapeake Energy Corp. Canadian Banking Stocks were up today. Valeant Pharmaceutical Company was looking to acquire Cephalon Inc. which caused the stock to escalate. S&P lowered sovereign credit ratings on Portugal and Greece, but the market continued to overlook the news. Advancing stocks outnumbered the declining stocks on the NYSE and on the Nasdaq, two stocks rose for each that fell.
The first quarter comes to an end tomorrow! Money managers may liquidate some allocations to reassign for second quarter. There may be increased volatility and sharp moves. This first quarter has shown that even in the face of natural disasters and conflicts that our recovery is on course.
Today’s USADP Jobs Report showed that the private employers actualized 201,000 jobs in March! This sets the stage for the next two days of the US Initial Jobless Claims and Friday’s US Unemployment Report. Forecasts are volleying among the analysts.
Thursday, we look forward to the US Initial Jobless Claims at 7:30 AM CST.
