No middle man, no market maker. Yes, Forex is an electronic market, but your order still ends up on a "dealing desk" where a human handles your order. Aside from naked short selling, the biggest reason I left the world of stock trading was because of the Market Maker. He could make you or break you. With E-mini Futures you have a level playing field. FIFO - first in first out. Whether you're Goldman Sachs or Joe from Idaho, you get equal treatment.
Liquidity - 1.5-3m contracts trade hands everyday on the S&P 500 E-mini Futures Contract. If you want in or out of a position, there is almost always someone waiting and willing to take the other side of your trade (24/5) just 1 tick away. This simply isn't true for all Forex Pairs.

E-mini Futures Trading - What Do Traders Really Want?
Giving E-mini Traders what they want is not as simple as it might seem. Why? Survey says, "most traders don't know really know what they want". The single greatest response was a "blank stare". These encompass other typical responses -
I want to beat the market.
I want to make some money.
I want to make a lot of money.
I want to quit my job.
I want to learn e-mini day trading.
I want to learn e-mini swing trading.
I want an e-mini trading system where I don't get stopped out.
I want to take e-mini trades with a 1 to 3 risk / reward ratio.
No matter what we want in our lives, if it's unrealistic or unavailable, the odds of actually obtaining it are greatly diminished. If we have only a vague or nebulous idea of what we want, the odds are not in our favor. I would have to say that the greatest number of responses I've received fall into this category.

June 29, 2013 at 10:15 PM The CFRN Emini Online Dictionary is a work in progress. Every industry over time develops its own language. A group of words, terms, phrases and slang, understood only by those "in the business". Often the words do have meaning to civilians (non-trading carbon based life forms), just a much different meaning than what the trader is attempting to convey.
We call it a work in progress because like any good dictionary, it is will continue to grow. Even Webster, the one we grew up with, adds new words every year. Not only are new words added, often new definitions are added to existing words like Underwater.

The value of the original "large S&P Contract" became so expensive that retail traders and even smaller institutions were no longer able to afford it. At 1/5th the size of the larger contract, the S&P 500 Emini became not only cost effective for all traders, it has now gone on to become the single most popular trading vehicle in the world.
June 24, 2013 at 8:31 PM Let's define Day Trading - intererstingly enough "Day Trading" is considered a noun. If you've ever done any day trading, it feels a lot more like a verb... an action verb.
Buying and selling (round trip) commodities, equities, options, futures contracts, or currencies, in the same trading session for the purpose of profiting from relatively small price fluctuations.
