Have a look at Friday's action. The market rallied right up to our "line in the sand" at 1271 and then tanked 8 points to 1263.

Woke up hit the iPad in bed to check the daily incoming... email from Netflix says "Thx very much for your business your credit card has been declined there will be no more streaming for you, please drop dead." Oh snap! Called the bank who admitted I had been so quiet for so many years just paying my bills on time and never asking for anything they weren't quite sure I was real or ever was real and yes all cards and lines were severed 3 days ago. Seroiusly? Went through Employee 1 to Employee 2 to Employee 3 who finally said, "I see you're a business customer". Why yes I am. "Well sir it seems your call has been routed to the wrong department. In fact, I need to transfer you to another state." Would that be the state of confusion or fear or both? Talked to Level 1, Level 2 then the almighty get 'er done Level 3 employee who confirmed that yes indeed it was all true and not only would there be no more Buster Keaton marathons, but life as I knew it would pretty much cease to exist going forward.

We covered the break in the S&P, the Limit Up day in Corn, the drop in the Euro, the Bean dip, as well as other various and sundry markets. We of course indulged in our typical highbrow rat-a-tat that has become our trademark. You're right, it's more of a birthmark. But hey, we wear it well right?

Did it give us a glimpe through the looking glass at tomorrows yet to come? Am I saying it was an artistic and poetic moment in which we used symbolic images and indirect suggestion to express mystical ideas, emotions, and states of mind?
I WISH! Mostly it was just David saying hey Burt, "What's the symbol for XXX?" Was the audience mortified? No it induced more of a trancelike state. (stupified perhaps?) No one said anything and I barely heard a foot shuffle or paper rustle. Of course we now expect much better forecasts as the Master Forecaster will be using the correct symbols for whatever's bubbling in that big cauldron of his...

Apple really stole the day and potentialy changed the way the world will compute. Forever! That box on your desk or even the one in your hands are destined to become really smart/dumb devices that will simply transport you and your stuff to and from the cloud. Not just any cloud mind you... the iCloud. Amazon and Google are a little bit concerned tonight. GO STEVE!

Today we took the new toy out for a spin. Awesome! Skimmed over the 3 Forces with a promise to take a deeper look next week and even though we banged the drum for 2:14:09 exactly, I forgot to write show notes and for the life of me I'm not exactly sure what we talked about for 2hours 14 minutes and 9 seconds. We hit all the regular spots from the S&P to the Euro but if you really want to know what was said, you'll just have to pop in those earbuds, settle back, and enjoy the ride.

On today's Live Public Broadcast the frivolity continued. I made a not so obscure Kung Fu reference, we took up a collection to get some wheels for an aging rock legend, our favorite skinny Jewish guy had Sushi w/ Ryan Seacrest (my head's a busy place, keep your hands inside the vehicle at all times), we discussed the declining moral climate of American Idol personified by Lady Gaga, applauded Tony Bennett and Tom Jones for remembering their lyrics, addressed a very important question posed by a listener "What's your faith?", and even had time left over to make a few bucks on Corn plus I got a letter from the Secret Service. Now how you gonna' resist all that? Put those earbuds in and kick it with the Men of CFRN. (holiday gift calendar available soon)
